GreenFAX! A program designed to give Colfax Businesses Free tools to be energy efficient!

The City and County of Denver’s Small Business Energy Program is proud to be a part of the citywide Denver Energy Challenge! The goal of the Challenge is to reduce city-wide energy use by 15%, to help save the community money and energy. Businesses that participate in the Denver Energy Challenge are eligible to receive a variety of FREE services, which may include:

  • EDUCATION A City Energy Advisor will visit your business to discuss your energy efficiency goals and to help you determine the best course of action to save energy and money.
  • SUPPORT SERVICES Energy Advisors are also available to assist small businesses in evaluating project costs, improvements to pursue, organizing and managing the installation of measures, and identifying applicable rebates or other incentives. In addition to the city’s free services, your business may also be able to receive a free Denver Water audit or a free Xcel Energy Lighting Audit.
  • $$$ INCENTIVES - Fall/Winter 2011* rebates for a variety of measures are now available to qualified Denver Energy Challenge participants. The city is also offering a limited number of $200 rebates to cover the cost of an Xcel Energy On Site Assessment.
  • FREE BASIC LIGHTING UPGRADES For smaller-sized businesses, Energy Advisors may be able to assist with the purchase and installation of certain types of screw in lighting

*For a limited time, participating businesses are eligible to receive rebates for up to $5,000 for qualifying energy efficient projects. Rebates are based on kWh saved by the project, subject to the program staff’s review and approval, and will be issued on a first-come, first served basis from 9/1/2011 through 12/31/11, or until all funds are dispersed - whichever comes first.
